Kui mai alguses Londonis olin ja sealsete töökaaslastega nö lahkumispidu pidasin, siis kuuldes, e tma võib-olla ka Lõuna-Aafrika Vabariiki lähen läksid ühel sealt pärit töökaaslasel silmad põlema. 15 minutit hiljem oli mul lehetäis soovitusi, mida seal teha ja kuhu minna. LAV-i pole ise seni jõudnud ja ei tea, kas üldse jõuan, aga kribin soovitused siia üles, äkki keegi teine leiab neist kasu.

Things to do in and around Cape Town:
Kalk Bay – Brass Bell – bar by the sea
Scarborough Beach – surfer beach
False Fay – surfing & well known for great white sharks
Kirstenboch (botanical gardens) – fantastic views of Cape Town, go climbing up the mountain
Table Mountain – rotating cable car
Camps Bay Beach
Clifton Beach
Llandudno – surfing (very cold water)

Garden route:
2-3 hrs: Hermanus – Whales May – October (Southern Right Whale)
7 hrs:
* Knysna – Really laid back surfer town with lagoon.
* Wilderness – Flying Fox ziplining, quad bikes
* Storms river – Most dramatically picturesque river mouth around.

Wine region:
Franschoek
Stellenbosch – my favorite red wines are from Beyerskloof (pinotage) and Nederberg.
Spier wine farm is fantastic. You must go to Moyo for an evening with friends. Full on South African buffet.

Steak – Cattle Baron (chain, good value)
Fish/seafood – Ocean Basket (good value)
Beach front / Camps Bay – Blues Restaurant at sunset
Beach bar – Clifton – La Med
Knysna – You must go to Cranzgots for pizza, very famous local establishment
